Philanthropy Keen One Quinoa donates
Christopher Algea, founder of Boulder-based CPG brand Keen One Quinoa, will be donating 1,320 pounds of organic, fair trade quinoa to Denver-based Metro Caring, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger.
“Every quarter, we donate 1 percent of our total volume of quinoa sourced. Plant-based proteins like quinoa have an array of benefits including a low carbon footprint, high nutritional density, and the ability to feed masses on a relatively low cost basis,” said Algea.
This amount of protein will provide 5,280 generous servings of high quality, sustainably sourced plant-based protein.
